How Geek Engineering handles the contact details, engineering briefs, and project files you send through this website.
1. Intellectual Property Protection
Project briefs, attached drawings, CAD files, and written requirements are treated as confidential business information. Access is limited to the people who need it to review and respond to your request, and client-specific material is never published without written permission.
Project Brief Form submissions are transmitted to Geek Engineering by a third-party form-delivery provider and then delivered by email. We do not sell or rent submitted information and do not share it with engineering brokers. Do not submit export-controlled data, credentials, trade secrets, or highly confidential design files through the public form; contact us first to arrange an NDA and an approved transfer method.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information that you explicitly supply when interacting with our digital channels, specifically:
- Contact information: name, email address, company name, and a phone number (optional unless you ask us to call you).
- Project brief details: the service you select, the project site's city, state or province, ZIP or postal code and country, your written project description, your preferred contact method, and any attached drawings, CAD files, ZIP archives, or documents.
- Technical data: standard request logs kept by our website host and form-delivery provider, such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, used to operate and protect the website and form.
3. How We Use It and Who Processes It
We use submitted information to review your request, contact you about it, and prepare any proposal that follows.
Service providers process it on our behalf in these categories only: website hosting, form delivery, and business email. They receive what is needed to deliver your submission to us.
4. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we receive. Internet forms and email cannot be guaranteed completely secure, so sensitive engineering packages should be exchanged only through a mutually approved method after project qualification.
Access to project designs and software is limited to the engineers assigned to the work.
5. Retention and Your Choices
We keep inquiries and attachments only as long as needed to respond, prepare proposals, and maintain ordinary business records. To ask what we hold about you, or to request that an inquiry and its attachments be deleted, email info@geek-engineering.com.
A mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) can be put in place before proprietary drawings, code, or production schedules are exchanged.
